JANELLE BONFOUR-MIKES | EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Janelle Bonfour-Mikes is an artist, curator, educator, and arts administrator. Her interest lies in cultivating accessible programming that invites artists and audiences to engage with contemporary art, performance, and creative collaboration.

With more than a decade of experience in arts education, nonprofit programming, and curatorial practice, Janelle focuses on supporting artists at every stage of their careers and deepening the creative connections that define Columbus’ independent arts community. Her approach emphasizes interdisciplinary programming, creative risk-taking, and opportunities for artists to share and develop new work in supportive, community-centered environments.

Janelle maintains an active studio practice spanning performance, installation, and visual art. Her work has been exhibited and performed nationally and internationally. She holds an MFA from Columbus College of Art & Design and a BFA from Ohio University.

She has 3 cats, her favorite shape is a triangle, and her favorite color is Prussian Blue.

LYDIA GOKEY | GALLERY ASSISTANT

Lydia is a recent graduate of The Ohio State University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Arts management currently she is working on a Master of Arts in Art Education.

Lydia has been around the arts her entire life, from a young age, she knew that the arts were an integral part of society and wanted to continue her work in this field. 

Within her academic studies, Lydia is focused on serving  communities that are underserved and need more accessibility to the arts. Her thesis is on trauma-informed pedagogies for crisis housing centers. Her passion for the arts lies in equitable curriculums and community outreach.

Jillian Woltz
PRESIDENT

Jillian Woltz is a strategist whose work bridges creativity, commerce, and community. As a CPG broker & consultant, she helps emerging food and beverage brands navigate the grocery world, build strong retail relationships, and scale sustainably. Her career spans work in food systems, public markets, and creative community spaces, including key roles with North Market Development Authority and Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, where she helped develop programs and partnerships that strengthened local economies and connected people through food and culture. Known for her blend of analytical precision and artistic curiosity, she’s passionate about geography and exploring how food mirrors access, culture, and place - revealing stories about who we are and how we live. She also loves a great color combination, a perfectly organized spreadsheet, and the quiet poetry of a well-designed grocery aisle. Outside of work, Jillian can often be found playing music, hanging with her cat Roberta, or catching a film at Gateway Film Center. She’s endlessly inspired by people who build spaces that foster collaboration, creativity, and belonging.

Roman Suer
Vice President | development Cochair

Roman currently serves as the Arts Scholars Program Manager at The Ohio State University and enjoys exploring the interdisciplinary relationships that exist within the broad umbrella of the arts, as well as between the arts and other disciplines. He was fortunate to have performed and toured internationally with Azaguno, a nonprofit company that aims to preserve and perform traditional and contemporary African American, Caribbean, and Latin American music and dance, while pursuing his studies at Ohio University. At OU he studied Organizational Communication and Global Leadership during his undergraduate years, and then earned his Master of Public Administration with a focus in Environmental Sustainability.

Tynita M White
TREASURER

Tynita serves as Policy Director at Columbus Public Health, where she works to advance policies, programs, and services that promote health and equity across the community. A proud Columbus native, she is a two-time alumna of Ohio University, earning a B.A. in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration from the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service. Beyond her policy work, Tynita is deeply inspired by the arts, especially jazz and local art that explore identity, place, and belonging. You can often find her biking around the city, listening to records, or enjoying a craft beer at a neighborhood spot.

Jimmy Mackey
Secretary | Governance Chair

Jimmy Mackey is an attorney with The Legal Aid Society of Columbus. By day, Jimmy provides free legal services to low income people throughout Central Ohio. Jimmy helps run a free legal clinic inside the eviction court in which he directly represents low income tenants facing eviction. Outside of work, Jimmy sells vintage clothing online, while curating his own obsessive vintage shoe collection.

MAURICE STEVENS

Maurice Stevens, a professor in the Department of Comparative Studies at the Ohio State University, is also Associate Dean for Engagement for the College of Arts and Sciences. Stevens teaches theories and methods of interdisciplinary cultural and technological studies. Their university service spans university departments, colleges, centers, and initiatives. Stevens brings expertise in designing interdisciplinary and engaged research methodologies, participatory leadership processes, and community-driven social justice-informed research to their scholarly and systems enhancement efforts.

Christian Sawadogo

Christian is a Senior Auditor at Wells CPA LLC, where he provides financial oversight and strategic guidance to nonprofit organizations. Currently pursuing his CPA and MBA in Accounting, Christian brings a strong foundation in financial stewardship and organizational resilience. Passionate about creative communities and cultural expression, he believes art has the power to unite people and foster belonging—values that deeply resonate with Wild Goose Creative’s mission. Christian combines technical expertise with a collaborative mindset, aiming to help organizations operate with purpose and integrity. Outside of work, he enjoys soccer, chess, and exploring art and culture. He actively builds networks to strengthen community connections and is excited to contribute his financial insight and community-driven perspective to Wild Goose Creative’s board.

Tobi Furman

Tobi is the founder of The Artmobile, a mobile now virtual arts enrichment program providing access and exposure to the arts through our arts inspired learning opportunities. Her drive is that all young people should have the opportunity to benefit from arts programming no matter where they live. Her focus is to collaborate with locally known artists, art agencies, art educators and community leaders to create a hands-on, culturally rich art experiences that ignite imaginations and let the participants discover their own unique creativities, talents and abilities. Prior to this partnership, Tobi was a co-founder and partner of 501C3Marketing, a branding and marketing group serving the nonprofit community. Prior to this partnership, Furman served as the Resource Development Director for Jewish Family Services and as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for United Way of Central Ohio.  

CHERYL HARRISON

Cheryl Harrison is a passionate supporter of the Columbus community. Cheryl runs the Beers and Board Games Club, which has been hosting open gaming events since 2013 and has raised over $175,000 for local non-profits, and is the co-founder of the Columbus Ale Trail, a passport program that has incentivized folks to patronize local craft breweries since 2015. Cheryl previously spent over a decade running social media community management agency speechbubble as well as renowned local booze news blog Drink Up Columbus which was regularly voted one of the top blogs in Columbus.

LYnette Santoro Au

Lynette contributes to outreach and education for the Ohio Attorney General's Charitable Law Section and has spent her career working for and with municipalities and nonprofit organizations. Her passion for creating opportunities, embracing diversity, and cultivating leadership has led her to a career in supporting others in their endeavors. As a board member and community volunteer, she finds this supporting role rewarding on many levels and recognizes how valuable everyone’s roles are to an organization. Knowing how important it is to create an environment of respect, accountability and trust, her work in the Charitable Law Section focuses on the development of strategies aimed at strengthening the nonprofit sector.

Jon Sherman

Jon is a filmmaker and educator in Columbus, Ohio. He is currently Professor of Film at Kenyon College, where he helped start the prestigious film program. He has directed numerous feature films, including "I'm With Lucy", which starred Monica Potter, Gael Garcia Bernal, Harold Ramis and Julie Christie. His films have been released in more than 100 countries worldwide.
